Notes & Usage:

Honest response when things aren't going well. In Spanish, regular means mediocre or not good — unlike the English word.

—¿Cómo estás? —Regular, tengo mucho estrés.

—How are you? —Not great, I'm very stressed.

He dormido regular esta noche.

I didn't sleep well last night.

—¿Qué tal el viaje? —Regular, había mucho tráfico.

—How was the trip? —So-so, there was a lot of traffic.
